Why does nothing happen after I enter something?

You may need to press the Tab key. In a multi character entry field the computer cannot know when you have finished typing in the characters of your entry. You "tell it you're done" by pressing the Tab key.

Disappearing Windows
If you inadvertently click on the "clouds" or other background of the main program window while another window is open, the open window will disappear. It is actually still there, but "behind" the main window. To bring it to the "front" again, open the Window menu and click on the bottom item, which will be the missing window.

Unburdened Checkbox Not Checked
After checking the Unburdened checkbox for a burden, the unburdening shows up on the Therapy Progress tab, but not in the Parts List checkbox when you go back to that burden. How come?

This was a bug which was fixed on 1/1/06, after Version 1.02 had been released. To fix this on your system, just download version 1.02 again.

Help! I downloaded the wrong version.

If you downloaded the personal edition when you meant to download the therapist one, or vice versa, you will now have the edition you downloaded. Not to worry! Just go back and download the correct one, and all will be well again. You will not lose any data.

Is there a Mac version of IFS Insight?

Unfortunately the system that IFS Insight is developed in (called Clarion) does not create programs which will run on a Mac. A version of Clarion which might allow this should have been out by now (5/06), but has been delayed.

The new Macs which use an Intel chip should run the program with no problems in "PC mode". I'm afraid that's not a good answer if you're not ready to upgrade your computer. But it's the best we can offer at present. It will be some months before the new development system is available, and it's hard do know whether the conversion will be fully effective and practical until then.

Error message when I click on the Billing icon (dollar sign)
Users upgrading to Version 2 from some older versions may get a popup error message when clicking on the Billing icon (dollar sign) on the tool bar, or opening the Log Sessions and Payments window from the Billing menu.  The message says something like "Problem fetching Client, RecID: xx". The message seems to not want to go away, though if you click on it enough times it will. This results from a sample Appointment file sent out with an early version which references "clients" who are not in your Client file.
Fix:
If you do not have appointments in your Appointment Calendar that you need to keep, the fix is simple. In Windows Explorer, find the c:\IFSInsight\Data folder. In it you will see a file called Appointment.tps. Delete that file, and you will no longer get the error messages. (A new blank version will be created when you next open the program.)
If you have appointments that you wish to save, please call 919-479-0718 and we will fix the problem (you'll need to email a couple of files for us to correct). Call also if you need help with the "simple" fix above.
