IFS Insight Product Updates

Occasionally an updated version or "maintenance release" of IFS Insight is made available here to current users. Usually these updates contain bug fixes and new features and improvements. See the Version Notes below for highlights of the changes in each update.

Current users may download the latest version here at no cost. If you are not a current user you may download a free 30 day trial of the latest version on the Download Demo page.

These updates will not affect your client data files. However, please be sure to back up all your data files before downloading a program update (they are in the c:\IFSInsight\Data folder). If you are not already backing up your data files on a regular basis - you should be! See Data Backup in the Security Settings help topic.

VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 2.2 (7/5/07) Along with a few bug fixes, this version makes some changes to the billing and insurance claims systems. - You will now be able to define an unlimited number of session or appointment types. Each one will have an associated duration in minutes, standard charge, and service code (only needed if you file insurance claims). - The program now provides for the National Provider Identifier (NPI) and prints it on the CMS-1500 insurance claim form VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 2.1 (10/18/06) In this version (Therapist Edition) the Client Billing system has been expanded to include a Health Insurance Claims Management system. Therapists can now print health insurance claims form (CMS-1500) and track claims and payments. Once you have entered the health insurance information for a client, the claims forms are easily printed on whatever schedule you wish. Pending claims are easily reviewed, and insurance claims and payments are integrated into the billing system. - Miscellaneous minor fixes and improvements. VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 2.0 (07/28/06) Changes in this version include: - Sharing of IFS materials: exchange IFS materials with other IFS Insight users via email. - Client Billing System: track client sessions & payments; print statements; linked to Appointment Calendar; monthly income statement and receivables aging report. - IFS Scale print out includes full interpretation of parts dimensions - Miscellaneous minor fixes VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 1.03 (04/28/06) Changes in this version include: - Clove Diagrams: Visual diagrams for "cloves" - clusters of parts around a particular issue or situation. - Freehand Drawing: A set of "paint brusn" tools for creating drawings or pictures. Enables various kinds of "art therapy" work, as well a freehand additions to parts and clove diagrams. - A redesign of the IFS Tools window to accomodate the above two features. - Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements. VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 1.02 (12/21/05) Changes in this version include: - Progress Notes window in Therapist version. Record progress notes in several standard formats. Print out individual notes, client histories, or all client notes for a period. - IFS Tips system on IFS Tools Window. Add or define your own guidelines, descriptions or checklists for various IFS techniques and approaches. Two examples provided: "Part, Role and Burden Primer",and "Working With Parts On Your own". - Part Picker, a small popup optionally displayed on the Narratives tab for quickly inserting a part name into the narrative or at the start of a new paragraph. - Select fonts for Narratives, Conference Table, and Progress Notes - typeface, size, color. - Many windows now resizable. Some have splitters for allocating space, for example between narrative and parts group on Narratives window. - Parts List And Conference Table sessions can now be printed out. - Numerous minor fixes and improvements. VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 1.01 (10/30/05) Changes in this version include: - Introduction of the IFS Insight - Client version. This is essentially the same program, but without multiple client list, client intake form, appointment calendar, and Therapist individual therapy guidelines. - Several improvements in the IFS Scale entry and results windows. - Both Therapist and Client versions now provide for only one authorized user. A Group version will be coming for clinics, institutions and group practices. - Numerous other minor improvements and bug fixes. VERSION NOTES - IFS Insight Version 1.00 (9/15/05) This is the first release of this software. As future versions are released these notes will outline the changes since the last version.
